Newsletter Tel: Friday, 2nd February 2018 Family Learning Dear parents, please look out for some great Family Learning events coming up. We have a fantastic workshop on Reading with your Child at home on the 13th February 2018 at 9am. Open to all Key Stage 1 parents. Why not join us for other events, Decorate a Bag, Healthy Snacks, Make Eid Decorations and Paediatric First Aid . Please come and support your child’s learning. Thank you Mrs S Rasheed. The Power of Reading Reading is a really good way that you can help your child’s learning at home. Children who read everyday, not only read well and understand what they have read, they can achieve and become more confident in many other areas of the curriculum. Children who can read well are far more likely to achieve and do well later in life. Families, please encourage your child to read home/school reading book each day and support this reading by commenting in their reading record. Thank you for your continued support. Reception = Class 1 = Class 2 = Class 3 = Class 4 = Class 5 = Class 6 = On Thursday, 1st March we will be celebrating all our favourite books and authors on World Book Day. Children are invited to dress up as their favourite book characters and bring in their favourite book to school. We like children to play out in most weather. Please make sure your child has a warm, waterproof coat and sensible shoes for rain and snow each day. Attendance Well done to Class who won the attendance award and earned 10 minutes of extra playtime. Are you receiving texts from us? Please make sure we have your up-to-date mobile phone number. Not only do we need it to contact you in an emergency, we send lots of information and reminders to our main contact by text. Want to find out what your child is learning this term? Visit the class pages and curriculum page on our website for curriculum news and photographs. School Meals We would just like to say a big thank you to all the parents who pay so promptly for school dinners and help us maintain a no debt policy. Thank You
