1 DIVERSITY IN LIVING ORGANISMS DIVERSITY IN LIVING ORGANISMS

2 ROBERT WITAKKER CLASSIFIED THE
ROBERT WHITTAKER ROBERT WITAKKER CLASSIFIED THE Robert Whittaker classified the Living world into five kingdom on the basis of organisation inside cells, number of cells, presence or absence of cell and mode of nutrition.

3 1} kingdom monera- it includes
All the prokaryotes-ex- Bacteria ,blue green algae. 2} kingdom fungi- it includes Multicellular eukaryotes with Cell wall and heterotrophic mode Of nutrition-ex- mushroom .

4 3} kingdom Plantae- it includes
All multicellular eukaryotes With cell wall and autotrophic Mode of nutrition-ex-algae, mosses.

5 4} kingdom animalia- it includes
Multicellular eukaryotes without Cell wall and heterotropic mode Of nutrition-ex- all animal.

6 5}Kingdom Protista- it includes All kind of eukaryotes organism
Ex- alage,protozoans etc.

7 Kingdom Plantae is divided
Into two part 1} cryptogams 2} phanerogams

8 Cryptogams- non flowering And non seed bearing plant.
Phanerogams- flowering and Seed bearing plants.

9 Kingdom animalia Important terms 1}symmetry 2} layer in body wall 3} body cavity 4} supporting system 5} habitat 6} surfaces

10 Phylum porifera All are aquatic, freshwater or marine. They are cedentary. Reproduction is mostly by Budding.

11 Phylum coelenterata *All are aquatic mostly marine. *Mouth is surrounded by Tentacles having stinging cells.

12 *Body is cylindrical and *Digestive system is complete.
Phylum nematoda *Body is cylindrical and Unsegmented. *All are parasites. *Digestive system is complete.

13 Phylum annelida * Body is cylindrical . *Free living or external parasite. * Sexes are separate but earth Worm is hermaphrodite .

14 Phylum arthropoda * Body is divided into head, Thorax, and abdomen *all of them have paired jointed appendages. *sexes are separate.

15 *mostly aquatic, some are Terrestrial like snail.
Phylum mollusca *mostly aquatic, some are Terrestrial like snail. *they have open circulatory System. *most of them has a Protective calcareous shell.

16 Phylum echinodermata *They are radially symmetrical. *All are marine. *All of them have spiny and scaly skin.

17 They are bilaterally symmetrical. All of them have notochords.
Phylum Prochordata All of them are marine. They are bilaterally symmetrical. All of them have notochords.

18 They are having dorsal nerve Chord.
Phylum chordata They are having dorsal nerve Chord. They have notochord. They have post and tail.
