WHY STREETCAR? Inspires Connection Takes Cars off the Road
Links major destinations between West Sacramento and Sacramento’s downtown/midtown districts Promotes Mobility Offers a reliable, convenient, high-frequency alternative that enhances existing transit services for a complete network Enriches Passenger Experience Provides Riders with inexpensive modern travel that includes enhanced communications and easy access Takes Cars off the Road Reduces traffic congestion and need for additional parking facilities Stimulates Economic Vitality Connects people to jobs and fosters redevelopment along the route Encourages Environmental Sustainability Enhances livability within the urban core while supporting healthier travel

PROJECT OVERVIEW Corridor Alignment and Station locations set 4.4–mile with 21 stops (27 platforms) West Sacramento Riverfront and Civic Center to Midtown Sacramento entertainment and retail district Modern, mixed flow, fixed-rail line High frequency urban circulator with closely located stations Modern Vehicle Maintenance Facility for Streetcar fleet Light rail track relocation from K Street to H Street to improve light rail operations

GOVERNANCE Riverfront Joint Powers Authority (JPA)
Formed in March 2017 through Joint Exercise of Powers Agreement Manages, operates and maintains Streetcar Day-to-day operations initially contracted to Sacramento Regional Transit with oversight from the JPA BOARD OF DIRECTORS: City of Sacramento Vice Mayor Steve Hansen and Councilmember Jeff Harris City of West Sacramento Mayor Christopher Cabaldon and Councilmember Chris Ledesma (Fifth seat representative from Private Sector to be identified by Board)

FUNDING Total cost includes approximately $8.6 million in project development funding previously shown outside the $200 million estimate. Operations and Maintenance funding from multiple sources including: cities, farebox recovery and advertising through corporate sponsorship

Maintain access Minimize impacts to parking and other transit stops Avoid other infrastructure Station includes: Amenities Circulation / waiting space Access to vehicle doors The Challenge is: J/16th Street - Sacramento

STATION AMENITY APPROACH
Stations include minimal amenities with option for enhancement Platforms with minimal eight inch elevated ramp Ticket vending machine Wayfinding signage Pylon marker Stations may have opportunity for enhancements such as lighting, technology, art and advertisement Some stations will include a unique canopy or shelter

Unique Stations Compliment Neighborhoods Three station types to best fit within surrounding context All stations will have a ticket vending machine, wayfinding signage and pylon marker
