A.R.: Accelerated Reader
Students will have 30 minutes each school day to read silently at their desk. During this time, your child will need to pick out and read books that are within their AR level. They obtain their AR level by taking an online assessment once each nine weeks. Their level correlates to a point value that they can be expected to earn if they read daily for 25 minutes and take the AR test on the books that they read . Their progress on this goal is monitored and recorded as a part of their ELA grade.

ALL assignments will be recorded in student agendas. Evening caretakers will need to initial the homework agenda EVERY night, ideally after reviewing the homework for completeness. It is STUDENTS’ responsibility to ask their caretaker to initial the agenda, not the other way around!

Absent Work When your child is absent, please contact the office as soon as possible to notify us and to set up a way in which your child can get their makeup work home.
