The Speaker Aim to talk for 1 minute.
Stop to let the other person paraphrase what you’ve said. Try to include feelings in your statements. Be honest, clear, direct and respectful.

The Listener Give the speaker your full attention.
Reflect back as accurately as you can what you heard them say (paraphrase). When you think they are done, ask, ‘Is there anything else?’ When they are done, ask them, ‘Of everything you have shared, what is the most important thing you want me to remember?’
