Specials:
This week we will begin studying about different types of caves. Australia has many limestone or “solution” caves and we have limestone caves in PA so we will have fun making comparisons. We will study stalactites and stalagmites.  We will explore how caves are formed and learn some introductory information on bats.  When the children go to first grade, they will build on that knowledge to learn about bats in greater depth. .

Field Trip on Monday:
We will depart on a school bus for the Forum on Monday morning. The show begins at 10 and we will return after the show and eat lunch in our classrooms.
Please remember to pack a lunch for your child.
International Night – May 12, 5PM
Food Café and performances from many countries AND a surprise recognition for Mrs. Oberman who is celebrating her 50th year of teaching this year! Each grade will be presenting flags and information they’ve learned from Mrs. O., our volunteer reading specialist and Learning Links coordinator.
Our last full day of school (i.e. 7:30-2:40) is on Tuesday, June 6th. On Wednesday, June 7th, the children will come to school with you and depart with you after the Closing Ceremony (i.e. 8:00am-9:00am).
