Difference between instantaneous and average speed:
Instantaneous speed: Average speed: Instantaneous speed, is the speed at any given time within that span of time. (Usually measured with a realtime speedometer.) Average speed, is the speed averaged over a span of time. The difference between the two, is one is an average speed while the other is a instant speed.

Vectors vs Scalar: Vectors Scalars: A vector, is a quantity that has magnitude and direction. Scalars, are quantities that are described by only a magnitude. The difference between the two, is one quantity has magnitude only (Scalar) and the other has both magnitude and direction (Vector.) An example of scalar, is speed. An example of vector is velocity.
