Master Thesis Position in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence
The goal of this thesis is to take advantage of ubiquitous cellular connectivity and sensor availability of contemporary road vehicles to propose a system for automatic detection of not occupied parking spots in surrounding the vehicle vicinity. The collected information is aggregated from all participating vehicle in a cloud service which provide assistance to the vehicles seeking available parking spots.
The work will involve a literature study and comparison of relevant technologies and available open-source tools, implementation of a prototype and evaluation of it’s performance.
The candidate is expected to deliver a written report and functional, reusable code.
The candidate will have the opportunity to get exposed to cutting edge technologies such as object detection and supervised learning while at the same time addressing the real issue of looking for parking in metropolitan areas.
