Liverpool City Region (LCR) is famous for music, fashion and culture, for digital media and video game heritage; BAFTA winning productions and Oscar-winning talent. Local companies deliver creative solutions for Disney, Sony, BBC, Virgin Media, Vodafone, LinkedIn, Nintendo, Microsoft, Google and Amazon. For the future: Supercomputing; Robotics; Virtual Reality; Artificial Intelligence. Did you know within the Liverpool City Region…? 11,300 employed in Digital and Creative sector in around 2450 businesses – 95% of these business employ less than 10 people. leading international facilities including the Hartree Centre and SciTech Daresbury Digital and creative business groupings can be found at sites across the area such as Liverpool Science Park, Liverpool Innovation Park, Cotton Exchange and Baltic Triangle. The Liverpool City Region can offer low cost, purpose built workspace to attract new and growing businesses meaning that demand for skills will be high. top ranked University research at University of Liverpool and Liverpool John Moores University growing businesses specialising in games design and video, health informatics and computer aided design. LCR workers are highly productive too. Liverpool led the UK in productivity growth between with a 34% increase. And according to the Tech Nation report in 2015, Liverpool had the UK’s second fastest growing collection of digital businesses, ahead of London and Manchester.
