2
Preparation Manurewa Pools.
We got fitted into our sizes for our diving gear. We learnt how to keep to our budget. We came up with ideas for our menu. We found out the prices of things that we need.

Manurewa Pools At Manurewa Pools we learnt how to use flippers and snorkelers so that we could be confident and comfortable with swimming. The lessons we had are very important because it was about being safe underwater. My feelings were very scary because it was very deep in the water.

Getting Fitted We got fitted for goggles, flippers, snorkelers and wetsuits so that we could be safe and warm underwater. We all had to be responsible for our gear which to me is a life lesson because when we grow up we have to be responsible. The gear wasn't comfortable yet stylish but it was about being safe.

Keeping to the budget We had a budget of $1200 from the school that we had to stick too. Some of the things that we wanted we had to cut so that we could get the things we need. We had to think about what we were going to have for breakfast, lunch and dinner it was pretty hard to stick to the budget but in the end we got all the things we needed

During It took us 2 hours to get to Goat Island when we finally arrived there we were so excited to be there. The first thing we did was take care of some house rules then we had the time to rome around. After we finished we got our stuff ready to go for a swim. We then went to Matheson Bay and went for a bush walk. There was a waterfall but no one swam in it because it was dirty water so we went back to the beach and had a swim. The water was nice and cold and i had a really good time although i got forced to get wet.

Enjoyment We enjoyed bonding all together. It was
like a big Whanau gathering. Before we left to go to Goat Island, there was a lot of negativity amongst us all and while on our trip it was like All the negativity went away.
