Jacob Have I Loved
2
Mal 1:1 The burden of the word of the LORD to Israel by Malachi.
2 I have loved you, saith the LORD. Yet ye say, Wherein hast thou loved us? Was not Esau Jacob's brother? saith the LORD: yet I loved Jacob, 3 And I hated Esau, and laid his mountains and his heritage waste for the dragons of the wilderness.
3
5 And your eyes shall see, and ye shall say, The LORD will be magnified from the border of Israel.
4
Mic 7:20 Thou wilt perform the truth to Jacob, and the mercy to Abraham, which thou hast sworn unto our fathers from the days of old.
6
You say, “Well, bless God; I tell you; I—I got to seeking God
You say, “Well, bless God; I tell you; I—I got to seeking God.” No, you never. You never did seek God. Man never did seek God. There’s no such a thing as man seeking God. Did you know that? God seeks man. That’s right. No…?… You said, “Is that Scriptural?” Yes, sir. The Resurrection
7
Jesus said, “No man can come to Me except My Father draws him first
Jesus said, “No man can come to Me except My Father draws him first.” Your whole nature is altogether against God. And it has to take the Holy Spirit to first put that desire in there for you to linger after God. Is that right? The Resurrection
8
And then when… “All that comes to Me, I’ll give them Everlasting Life
And then when… “All that comes to Me, I’ll give them Everlasting Life.” There you are. “And then, I’ll raise him up at the last day.” The Resurrection
9
Gen 25:33 And Jacob said, Swear to me this day; and he sware unto him: and he sold his birthright unto Jacob.
10
Gen 27:19 And Jacob said unto his father, I am Esau thy firstborn …

Oh, it behooves you, my brother, sister, to consider what you’re listening at, and don’t you never underestimate Satan’s power for deceiving. Don’t you never underestimate him. He’s smooth as he can be. And the antichrist spirit isn’t Communism. No. The antichrist spirit is so close like the real thing till it’ll deceive the very Elect if possible. Jesus said so, Matthew 24. It’s a religious spirit. Israel And The Church #1

See there, always just the deceiving
See there, always just the deceiving. The lie that Cain…that Satan told Eve, was ninety percent Truth, ninety percent Truth. And the lie that you can tell! How I’ve heard men bypass pieces in the Scripture, just to keep from…It hurts their theology. See? But if—if—if this part’s right, that part’s right! Let’s put it together and make it fit through the whole Bible. Israel And The Church #1
13
You see the one difference between Israel and the rest of the nations was God. Put God to one side and Israel was like any other nation. When Sampson cut off his hair he was like any other man. - 4 - The Smyrnaean Church Age
14
Put the leadership of the Holy Ghost aside and the church is NOTHING BUT THE WORLD WITH GOD’S NAME ATTACHED TO IT. The world and the church are all of the same lump, just like Jacob and Esau were of the same parents, but the Spirit of God makes the difference. - 4 - The Smyrnaean Church Age
15
Isa 44:21 Remember these, O Jacob and Israel; for thou art my servant: I have formed thee; thou art my servant: O Israel, thou shalt not be forgotten of me. 22 I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, thy transgressions, and, as a cloud, thy sins: return unto me; for I have redeemed thee.
16
Rom 9:10 And not only this; but when Rebecca also had conceived by one, even by our father Isaac;
11 (For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth;) 12 It was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger.
17
13 As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.
14 What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? God forbid. 15 For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. 16 So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.

They thought that love meant a baby with parental care
They thought that love meant a baby with parental care. But God said that His love was “elective” love. The proof of His love is ELECTION — that no matter what happened, His love was proven truly by the fact they were chosen unto salvation (because God hath chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth). - 4 - The Smyrnaean Church Age
19
He may commit you to death as He did Paul
He may commit you to death as He did Paul. He may commit you to suffering as He did Job. That is His prerogative. He is sovereign. But it is all with a purpose. If He did not have a purpose, then He would be the author of frustration and not of peace. His purpose is that after we have suffered awhile we would be made perfect, be established, strengthened and settled. - 4 - The Smyrnaean Church Age
20
…there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day.
21
26 And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh
26 And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me.
22
28 And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed. 29 And Jacob asked him, and said, Tell me, I pray thee, thy name. And he said, Wherefore is it that thou dost ask after my name? And he blessed him there. 30 And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel: for I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved.
23
Hos 12:4 Yea, he had power over the angel, and prevailed: he wept, and made supplication unto him: he found him in Bethel, and there he spake with us;
24
106 Jacob wrestled all night, and wouldn’t turn Him loose until He blessed him. That’s right. Battled for Life! And after the battle is over, then God gives you of Himself. That is His true communion. The little bread and wafer just represents It. You shouldn’t take it ’less you’ve wrestled it out and become part of God E - Who Is This Melchisedec?
25
Somebody sees it fine, the first little sensation, they get up and jump up-and-down, run up the aisle, say, “I got It, I got It, I got It.” Oh, no. Huh-uh. No. Jacob stayed there until something happened, that made him walk different, made him a different person, because that he stayed until that happened. And he was able…The Bible said, “He held until he prevailed.” How can a man prevail over God? But you can do it. You can do it. A man can prevail over God. E - Desperations

15 If we could just take a hold of God’s agent
15 If we could just take a hold of God’s agent. God’s agent then was Elijah. God’s Agent today is the Holy Spirit. Hold onto It. When you ever come in contact, and you feel the Holy Spirit on you, then hold on to It. “I’ll not leave You.” Stay with it like Jacob did when he wrestled with the Angel. “I’m going to hold on till You bless me and give me the things that I’m desiring.” Blind Bartimaeus
