ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE: Intelligent Planning, Proof Planning, Security Engineering, Applied Computational Logic, Knowledge Engineering, Virtual Worlds COMPUTER SCIENCE: Parallel Computing, Micro Architectures, Wireless Protocols & Apps, Iterative Compilation, Self Timed Circuits BRAIN: NeuroInformatics, Machine Learning ROBOTICS: Robotics, Vision Linkages to EPCC who run high performance computing for the UK effectively HECTOR - £130M investment, on top of Ibm Blue Gene and Sun HPx machines Strong interdisciplinary approach can only be attained with scale.
