Make note of the purpose of the ENTIRE book. Everything John writes makes the case for believing that Jesus is the Christ the Son of God
John starts his book making the case for Jesus being Deity. Omnipresent, Omniscience, Omnipotent all are referenced. For his audience there was no reason to make a case that Jesus was a human. That would be assumed by everybody, at least until they realized he was Deity, then the case for Humanity would need to be made, which is done in scripture.

Make note that many times the structures of the word is lost in translation and of the “complexity” of the Greek used by John;
Inspired writers used many figures of speech; This is important to realize, since it gives emphasis, and therefore meaning to what we read and study.
