With faith and nature we flourish
Each class were given a gift…
An Advent box to fill with food

Families were invited to ask questions, to Rev Eleanor, about Christmas.
In the beginning…

2. Skylarks Why do Christians perform Nativity Plays at Christmas?
We looked at pictures of adults and babies.
We talk about a special baby called Jesus.
We thought about presents at Christmas.
We looked at the Church’s Nativity Characters.

3. Choughs What is the Trinity?
We read and compared the Gospels of Matthew and Luke.
We prepared questions about incarnation and the Holy Spirit for Rev Stephane and Rev Eleanor.
We thought about our own ideas about God.

4. Kestrels Was Jesus the Messiah?
We read the Old Testament to help us understand why the idea of a Messiah was important.
We discussed with Rev Eleanor what a Messiah might be like today, if she were to come.
We looked at some art that shows the transfiguration of Jesus.
We considered how Christians show their believe that Jesus is the Prince of Peace, by helping others.

6. The children have had some challenging ideas to consider- it has been very thought provoking. (staff)
