WHAT? Learners document their learning journey WHY? Putting learning into context. Differentiation for lower-attaining pupils. WHEN? Starters / plenaries / reference point for answering / creating exam questions – promote independence. WHERE? Anywhere! WHO? Any key stage, any subject! HOW? Make a story. Make it memorable. Each lesson add to the learning journey. Consider HOW you will use it effectively? Give pupils ownership – how would they like to document their learning? Add homework / active learning strategies / photo’s to remind pupils.

MEMORY MAP WHAT? Learners create a map of information from memory WHY? Teamwork & collaboration WHEN? Re-capping prior learning / introducing a new topic area WHERE? Anywhere! WHO? Describe / sketch / explain / outline / label diagrams and graphs HOW? Teams of 3 – 5. Number each learner. Number 1 = scribe. Teacher calls no.2 – they have 30secs to go and study / memorise a diagram. Repeat with pupils 3, 5 &5 taking off 5 sec each time. Pupils must describe the diagram to the scribe. AIM IS TO RE-CREATE AS ACCURATELY AS POSSIBLE THE DIAGRAM / GRAPH OR MIND MAP
