Welcome to the presentation on the DMP Tech APP.

DIGITAL MONITORING PRODUCTS TECH APP
The Tech APP is an innovative mobile tool that allows alarm industry technicians to add, edit, and view customers, systems, and app users. Technicians can quickly enter and adjust security system programming directly from the app, as well as access full programming and reporting options. Programming can then be pushed to a system, allowing technicians to remotely program customer’s systems. To use the Tech APP, dealers must have a valid account username and password.
3
TECH APP LOGGING IN To log in to the Tech APP, Enter your and password on the log in screen. You can save your address for future logins by toggling the Remember option on. Tap Log In. The technician can only save their address—not their password. This was done purposefully, as techs may not be using their personal device, and might instead be using company issued devices-- meaning they are not guaranteed they get the same device from one day to the next. NOTE: You can enable a fingerprint scan login or a 6-digit login pin through the settings menu. If you have forgotten your password, tap Forgot password? at the bottom of the login screen. Enter the address associated with your account and tap Reset my password. You’ll receive an containing a new automatically-generated password shortly.
4
TECH APP HOME SCREEN Once you have logged in, there are two main ways to begin working with customer accounts and systems: Find a Customer or Add a Customer.
5
TECH APP ADDING CUSTOMERS
If a customer doesn’t exist in the Tech APP yet, you can add them by inputting their name and address. On the Dealer Home screen, tap Add a Customer. Enter the customer’s account number and contact information. Tap Save. NOTE: You cannot delete a customer from the Tech APP.
6
TECH APP FINDING CUSTOMERS
Use the search feature to find, view, and edit an existing customer. On the Dealer Home screen, tap Find a Customer. Enter at least the first three letters of the customer’s account name. Select the customer. We purposefully did not add a list to choose the customer, as dealers could have hundreds of customers, making things very cumbersome.
7
TECH APP CUSTOMER SUMMARY
The Customer’s Information, Systems, and App Users will be listed on the Customer Summary Page. The Tech APP can be used to add, edit, or delete any of this information.
8
TECH APP EDITING CUSTOMERS
To Edit a Customer: Tap the customer’s name. Select the field you would like to edit and type in the new information. Tap Save to save your changes, or Cancel to discard your changes and go back to the Customer Summary.

TECH APP SYSTEMS The Tech APP can be used to add, edit, or delete any of the Customer’s Systems. Press the blue Plus icon next to Systems to add a system. If you want to edit a system, select that system. If a system is editable in the Tech APP, it will have an arrow pointing to the right. If there is no arrow, that particular system type is not (yet) editable in the Tech APP. Supported panels for the current release (v1.2): XT30/XT50 XR150/XR550 XTL Series/XTLplus CellComSL/iComSL

TECH APP ADDING SYSTEMS: FEATURES & SAVE
If applicable, toggle on the Enable VK & Website Services function. You can choose whether or not to activate Included or Add-on Features. These are the functions that system will be able to use in the VK App and Website. Once you have finished entering the system and panel information, tap Save System to save and continue modifying the system, or Save & Program to send the programming information to the panel immediately. NOTE: Depending on your panel type, you might not see the Save & Program option. Save & Program is currently only supported for XTLplus panels with an EasyConnect connection type. A Programming Panel with Defaults message displays signaling that auto programming is in progress. Auto programming pushes all of the information you just entered, along with any predefined dealer setting defaults, to your panel. This process takes between 30 and 90 seconds.
