6 Office 365 Updates Since last time

7 Preview of Stocks and Geography, New Data Types in Excel
Today we are announcing a preview of new data types that will, over time, fundamentally transform what’s possible in Excel. We’re starting this journey with Stocks and Geography as the first two AI-powered data types, which will help users quickly turn complex data into action.

8 The best version of OneNote on Windows
Beginning with the launch of Office 2019 later this year, OneNote for Windows 10 will replace OneNote as the default OneNote experience for both Office 365 and Office Why OneNote for Windows 10? The app has improved performance and reliability, and it’s powered by a brand new sync engine (which we’re also bringing to web, Mac, iOS, and Android). You don’t need to worry about being on the latest version since it’s always up-to-date via the Microsoft Store, and it lets us deliver updates faster than ever before. In fact, over the last year and a half we've added more than 100 of your favorite OneNote features based on your feedback (thank you!), with more improvements on the way including tags and better integration with Office documents. Coming later this summer Insert and search for tags View and edit files Additional Class Notebook features

9 In June 2018, we're making changes to the native social capabilities in SharePoint Online
In June 2018 we'll make the company feed read-only in SharePoint Online and remove the option to implement the Newsfeed feature in navigation and through Tenant Administration. Beginning in June 2018, the company feed will be set to read-only for existing Tenants and the option to implement the Newsfeed capability will be removed for new Office Tenants.  For customers using the company feed we recommend considering options such as Team News, Communication Sites, and/or Yammer.

10 Coming soon to the new SharePoint Admin Center
In May 2017 we unveiled our plans to simplify SharePoint administration through delivering an administrative experience that’s intuitive, intelligent, and simple.  Since then we’ve made available the new admin experience as Preview for customers who have enabled Targeted Release at the Tenant level.  In the next several weeks in our preview we’ll be introducing new updates on our journey to deliver an administrative console designed to help IT achieve more, so their users can achieve more. Improvements to Site Management Export to CSV Custom Views Search Improvements by name, URL or admin And more!

11 SharePoint news updates in Office 365, including Microsoft Teams integration
Add pages and news articles as tabs in Microsoft Teams channels It is now possible to use the SharePoint tab to add pages, news articles and lists as tabs in Microsoft Teams channels. The result is just like you see in a browser but integrated as a tab in a channel. You can fully interact with the content – including sorting and views for lists, filtering reports within the Power BI web part, and viewing video in the Microsoft Stream web part. Post all your team news into Microsoft Teams automatically Just add the News connector! Right-click any Microsoft Teams channel, click Connectors, and then add SharePoint News. Now every published news article will spark a conversation. SharePoint news: the ultimate ice breaker

12 What’s new in Microsoft Teams – April update
Skype for Business contacts are coming to Teams – We’re importing your contact list from Skype for Business Online to Teams. Unified Presence between Teams and Skype for Business –  Presence states for users (i.e. available, busy or in a call) will now be aggregated between Teams and Skype for Business. Skype for Business Interop with Persistent Chat – As companies upgrade from Skype for Business to Teams, we expect users in some companies to use both apps at the same time. To ensure continued productivity, we’ve added the ability for Teams users to communicate with other users who are using Skype for Business (both online or on-prem). Collaborate securely with anyone in Microsoft Teams with guest access We’ve rolled out the ability to add anyone as a guest in Microsoft Teams. This means that anyone with a business or consumer account, such as Outlook.com, Gmail.com or others, can participate as a guest in Teams with full access to team chats, meetings and files.

13 Announcing the new Microsoft Teams & Skype for Business Admin Center
To enable admins to better manage the various aspects of the service, we have started to roll out a new Microsoft Teams & Skype for Business Admin Center. This new experience provides you with a unified experience to manage both Teams and Skype for Business and will also incorporate Call Analytics and the Call Quality Dashboard. In addition to giving you one place to manage all aspects of the service, the portal provides administrators with additional functionality, including new end-to-end insights and the ability to manage Teams settings on a user level.

14 Introducing the Microsoft 365 Security and Compliance Center
Last year, at Inspire, we announced Microsoft 365, which brings together Office 365, Windows 10, and Enterprise Mobility + Security to deliver a complete, intelligent, and secure solution for the modern workspace. As part of the Microsoft 365 vision and expanding on the unified administration experience we started with the Microsoft 365 admin center, we have created the Microsoft 365 security and compliance center. p/178468

15 Announcing preview of privileged access management in Office 365
To help customers protect and control their sensitive data, and meet their compliance needs, today, we are announcing preview of privileged access management in Office 365.
