Leukocytes Important for defense (mobile army) Contains nuclei
Can Slip out of blood vessels (chemotaxis), move by amoeboid motion

Types/Functions (from most to least abundant)
Neutrophils: 1st responders, phagocytes Lymphocytes: B cells, T cells, natural killer cells Monocytes: phagocytosis Eosinophils: fights parasites Basophils: releases histamine (a vasodilator)
