SUCCESS STORY Integrated EFT delivers Operational Efficiency Client Profile The client is a large bank in the US offering a range of financial services and products to more than 10 million US customers through more than 1,100 branches and 2,600 "Green Machine” ATMs. Business Challenge The bank wanted to connect the Salesforce CRM with ACH Processing Company’s API so that electronic funds transfer transactions can be processed and updated automatically without any manual intervention. The API integrates a payment portal onto your Salesforce CRM and allows customers to push their payments to the bank thereby eliminating the hassle of manually entering transactions. How Astrea helped The team of Salesforce specialists in Astrea developed a solution to integrate the ACH Processing Company’s API with the bank’s Salesforce CRM. An Apex batch job creates the payment records and transmits them to the ACH Processing Company via the API. Another Apex batch job retrieves the return files from the API and updates the status of the payment records. Business Benefits The bank is now relieved from the herculean task of manually entering the electronic funds transfer transactions and updating their statuses in the system. The transactions and their statuses are updated in the Salesforce CRM automatically.
