3. 8th Grade College Tour March 25, 2019
Where: Georgia State University, University of Georgia, University of West Georgia, West Georgia Technical College
Students will choose one college to attend for the college tour due to the restricted numbers we can have in a group for a group tour
Price: $50-Cost includes, a t-shirt, lunch on campus, and transportation accommodations.
Students will be back before the school day ends.

4. 8th Grade Dance
Date May 3, 2019 Cost: $20.00 Location: CMS Lower Gym 7 pm-10 pm Money must be paid to PTSA Deadline to pay-April 26, 2019.

5. Dance Attire Attire for the evening is semi formal
What does that mean and look like?
Young ladies, as you prepare for the dance please keep the following in mind
Dresses can not be no more than 3 inches above the knee.
No spaghetti straps (unless covered with a shawl, sweater, jacket)
No mesh or sheer material
Ladies, if you wear high heels you must be able to walk in them or
bring flats to change into.
NO JEANS OR SNEAKERS!!!!!!!!

6. Dance Attire for Young Men
Gentlemen can wear
Slacks of any color
Collared or button up shirt
Jackets are acceptable not required

7. Who can attend the dance
Only students from Campbell Middle School
Only 8th Grade students
No students from other schools
No former students of Campbell Middle School
No students from any other grade

8. Field Day - May 15, 2019 Students will be outside for most of the day
Class competitions
Bring a water bottle
No cost

9. 8th Grade Breakfast/Awards Day
May 20, 2019-TBA
This will be for 8th grade students who are receiving special awards such as A/B Honor Roll, Perfect Attendance, Content Awards, etc.
Students who will be honored will receive an invitation.

10. 8th Grade Fun Day When: May 21, 2019 Where: Campbell Middle School
Cost: $10
All payments are due May 15, 2019
This day is also a yearbook signing day for the 8th grade students

11. Get Ready Get Ready 8th Graders !!!!!! For FUN DAY ACTIVITIES
8th Grade Fun Day will be filled with a day of exciting Activities
Lunch
Game truck
Bouncy house
Football
Soccer
Music
And much, much, more!!!!!

12. 8th Grade T-shirt Cost is $15
Students will wear this at our Fun Day event
It is not mandatory to purchase a t-shirt. This is completely voluntary.
Deadline to pay May 8, 2019
Students will vote on the design-they will choose from three designs.

13. 8th Grade Promotion Ceremony
8th grade Promotion Ceremony will be on May 22, 2019.
The ceremony will be held off campus and there will be a
small reception for the students and their parents at the end of
ceremony.
All 8th grade students will be able to participate in this special event and will receive a certificate to commemorate them moving on to the next level of their education. More information about the event will be given at a later time.

14. Payment Procedures
You can pay for the 8th grade events with cash, check, or money order. Check or money order should be made out to CMS. This payment must be placed in a school envelope and it must be labeled correctly (what you paying for) and placed in the school safe. Please adhere to the deadlines-we will not be able to extend any payment due dates due to our timelines that we have to meet in purchasing items for the events.
Dance payment must go to PTSA. It must be placed in an envelope and placed in the PTSA black box in the front office. Check or money order must be made to PTSA
You can also pay online. Each event will be listed online and you can pay for the events that you want to pay for. You will be able to pay through our online system: (must be through internet explorer). You can make payments beginning on January 7, Dr. Manns will send reminders.

15. Sign Up Sheet
At the conclusion of this meeting, please sign the form that states that you have received and understand the information given. You will also write your address down (please print clearly) so you can receive monthly reminders of the events that are coming up and when payments are due (Dr. Manns will be sending this to you! )

High school elective registration dates: February 25- March 1, My high school lessons will begin in January. I will have all of the information on my blog soon.
Magnet School application deadline for students is December 1, 2018 at midnight. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!!!.
