9 Lockers Most students do not use lockers since it is permissible to carry your books, binders, etc. in a backpack. It’s more time efficient between classes.   If your student wishes to have a locker, they are to retrieve a locker form from the D-wing office and submit to Ms. Padgett. *A Sports Locker will be issued to those students involved in School Athletics.  

10 Tutorial Schedules A list of approved FBISD Tutors can be found in the “Students & Parents” Section on the DHS Website.    Your child’s teachers post their personal Tutorial Schedule on their individual website and their Schoology page. A list of DHS Tutorials (all teachers) can be found in the “Students & Parents” Section on the DHS Website.   

11 Attendance Procedures
Check into the Front Office. Office staff will call for your child. If during lunch time, please make sure your child is aware.  If your child is sick, the DHS Nurse will contact you and the same procedure will apply. Send absence notes to Important Tips: Must have your ID No Student Pick Up after 2:30 pm Absence note within five (5) days of returning

Compare colleges by price, size, majors, etc.  Add colleges to their “Colleges I am Interested In” list Take Strengths Explorer and Career Cluster quizzes  Access RoadTrip Nation Interest profiler  View career interest profiles, videos, and salary information  Research college majors  Research scholarships Build a resume 

13 Clinic Procedures All medications (prescription and over-the-counter) must be furnished by the parent/guardian in the original container with proper written authorization. Nurses will administer all medications; with the exception of inhalers or epi-pens that a student may need to carry with him/her for emergencies.  Daily medicine should be taken between classes.  Complete the Parent-Physician Permit to Administer Medication at School and return to the school nurse.  Additional clinic information can be found on the DHS website under "Students and Parents"

15 Academic Information Grades / Family Access Progress Reports
Report Cards Tutorials Teacher Website/Schoology Schedule Changes District Policy: On the first day of school a form will be available to students to pick up in the counselors’ office. That form will be filled out by the student and parent to request the change at that time.  Level changes will still only be considered after the three week grading period ends as stated during course selection and in the program guide.
