2. What is it?
It is colorless poisonous gas or liquid with a strong odor.

It is formed by naturally volcanic activity, and is a waste gas produced by burning coal and oil and by many industrial processes, such as smelting.

4. What are its effects on human health?
Breathing sulfur dioxide can lead to respiratory effect.
It can also cause skin irritation.
If Liquid SO2 comes in contact with eyes it can cause permanent damage in the eyes.
