Explore the role of IT in supporting business functions’ activities. Explore the role of information systems in obtaining an organizational competitive advantages Understand issues related to the use of IT: security, ethics, etc. Distinguish between types of information systems Investigate the principles, practice, methodologies and terminology used in designing, developing and implementing information systems in organizations

9 Makeup Makeup of assignments
According to EIU Makeup policy (documented illness, official university activities, emergencies) If cannot makeup impossible but the absence is excused, grade is calculated without missed assignment Excused Absence REQUIRES written verification Student responsible to provide documentation

10 Due dates Due dates: check posted assignments
Responsible to make sure assignments turned on time Assignments due: at class beginning for written assignments By due day/time for online submissions
