2. 2019 Prom
Final Sale of tickets is January 1, – February 28, 2019 for $130
Tickets will be issued on Friday, April 26, 2019

3. The Book Club will continue to meet every Monday and Tuesday

4. Printing from Chromebooks
Students are only able to print from their Chromebooks at this time
Students will need to deposit a minimum of $1 to set up a printing account
Any questions, please see M. Daniels in the library

5. Attention 9th Grade Students
Please be sure to charge your Chromebook over night so that you will be ready for classes the next day

8. NAEP
The NAEP exam will be administered on Wednesday, January 30th for a select group of students
Please be on time for your test

9. Attention Seniors
If you and your parents need assistance completing your FAFSA, be sure to sign-up for our next FAFSA Completion Event on February 12th at 4:00pm
Your must sign up on the DHS homepage in advance and seats are limited

10. The Academy of Advanced Studies (AAS)
AAS registration will be held on Thursday, February 17th from 5:50pm-7:30pm at AAS

11. 1st Sweet Hearts’ Ball
Class of 2019 Presents the 1st Sweet Hearts’ Ball
This event is open to all grade levels and will be held on February 9th from 7pm- 11pm at Dutchtown High School
Ticket sales will begin on Monday, January 28th during all lunch periods

Attention Seniors, bring your college acceptance letter
Principal Shaw will be providing a Principal’s Luncheon in celebration of your college acceptance
Deadline for submitting the letters is January 31st

16. Florida A&M University (FAMU) College Tour
The FAMU Atlanta Alumni Chapter is sponsoring a Spring Preview College Tour to FAMU on Friday March 29th – March 30th
The cost of the tour is $150 which includes transportation, hotel, and most meals
Information on this tour can be found in the counseling office

17. Scholarship Workshop
The DHS Counseling Office will hold the next Scholarship Workshop on Friday, February 8th
Sign up is available in the counseling office

18. The Spring ASVAB Test
The Spring ASVAB Test will be administered on Mach 13th from 9am-12pm

19. Academy of Advanced Studies
Registration for students interested in taking classes at the Academy for Advanced Studies for the school year will take place February 7th at the Academy for Advanced Studies from 5;30pm-7:30pm

20. Rising 10th-12th Grade Parent Night
The rising 10th-12th Grade parent night will be held on Thursday, February 28th at 6:00pm in the DHS Commons
Registration and classes for the school year will be discussed at this meeting
