Objectives: Enter data and text into cells. Select multiple cells, rows and columns.

3 Statistics Statistics are numerical facts about a group of data.
Ex. A numerical average Determining statistics is one of the main purposes of a spreadsheet.

4 Statistics When you select two or more cells, statistics for the cells will appear.

5 Statistics If you select cells that do not have a numerical value, those cells are not included in the statistics.

6 Reference for a Block of Cells
When you select a group of cells, the cell reference is the first cell, and the last cell, of the selected block, separated by a colon. In this lesson, you’ll enter data and text in a spreadsheet. You’ll then be asked to selected blocks of cells. To make sure you selected the correct cells, you’ll be asks questions about the statistics of the selected cells.
