5 Office 365 Updates Since last time

6 Rationalizing experiences in Yammer and Office 365
In recent months, we’ve shared our commitment to Yammer and have unveiled innovations that deepen Yammer’s integration with Office 365. As part of that journey, we are removing several features from Yammer that are now supported with more modern alternatives in Office 365. In May of 2018, we will remove the following Yammer features, and encourage customers to explore the following alternatives in Office 365: Yammer’s native org chart feature. Use the rich, interactive organization chart in Delve, Microsoft Teams, people search, and people cards that surface in many Office 365 experiences including Outlook, SharePoint, and OneDrive. Recent Activity module on the home page. Activity from your connections can be seen in Delve, in the activity web part in SharePoint, and in people cards that surface in many Office 365 experiences including Outlook, SharePoint, and OneDrive. Syncing contacts on the mobile apps. User profile data is automatically synced via Azure Active Directory, while Yammer uses the Microsoft Graph to recommend colleagues most relevant to you.  The Yammer desktop notifier application. The new Yammer desktop application surfaces notifications and provides a fully-featured Yammer experience for desktop users.

7 New in MyAnalytics As the demands on our time at work grow, MyAnalytics helps people get back in control and build better work habits. This month, we’re excited to announce the following updates and releases: Manager 1:1 insights This insight will surface in the MyAnalytics personal dashboard when you’ve gone 3 or more weeks since your last 1:1 with your manager, with a friendly tip to book a 30-minute check-in. New user adoption resources Guide to adopting MyAnalytics as an individual Guide to adopting MyAnalytics as a team Learning modules

8 Planner tab in Microsoft Teams now includes the Schedule view and Charts view
When we released the first version of the Planner tab in Teams, we noted that our goal was to support the same feature set in Teams as we do in the Planner web app.  We recently took another step towards our goal and have completed the roll out of a few more popular features from the web. Schedule view - get an overview of upcoming tasks and drag and drop them to set dates Charts view - stay up to date on the status of your plans Filter and Group by options - focus on key tasks and group by Assigned To, Progress, Due Date, and Labels

9 Bring your plans to life with guests in Planner
Until recently, our mental model of what a "team" is revolved around 'groups of individuals within a shared organization'. This is a comfortable definition to make design decisions around, but the more we listened to Planner users and thought about what our own team looks like, the more we realized that this is not a perfect model.  In practice, a "team" can consist of a lot of different people. One of which is individuals from outside your organization. So, we set out to make sure that teams with guests can also use Planner to get organized and reach their goals!

10 Microsoft Forms is Enterprise Ready now!
Today, we are excited to announce that Microsoft Forms, a simple app for creating surveys, quizzes, and polls, is generally available to all Office 365 commercial customers. Used by more than 3 million users in education, Forms was brought to commercial preview by customer demand last year. Thanks to more than 50,000 companies participating in the Preview program, Microsoft Forms is now enterprise ready, and, hence, we are removing the “Preview” label.

11 Increase in SharePoint Online storage allocation
Today we are announcing a 20x increase in the SharePoint Online per user license storage allocation. This will increase to 1 TB plus 10 GB per user license purchased, up from 1 TB plus .5 GB per user license purchased. Note this does not include SharePoint Online kiosk plans including Office 365 F1 and Microsoft 365 F1.

12 Excel announces new data visualization capabilities with Power BI custom visuals
Custom visuals have become a key part of Power BI allowing users to tap into hundreds of different visualizations. It is hard to believe that a little over two years ago we announced the availability of the first batch of custom visuals in Power BI Desktop and the Power BI Service. But custom visuals go far beyond the world of Power BI users. Today, as part of Build, we announced that Power BI Custom Visuals will be rolling out in Preview to Office 365 subscribers enrolled in the Office Insiders program soon, extending Excel charting capabilities and more than doubling the data visualization options for the most widely used data analytics tool in the world.

13 GDPR Compliancy with OneDrive and SharePoint
Microsoft is committed to helping our business customers comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Last month, and how we help businesses around the world, not just in Europe, take control, manage compliance, and avoid risk.  Today we wanted to share how the OneDrive For Business and SharePoint have approached meeting these GDPR requirements. Given the buzz around this significant new regulation, I sat down with several of our customers over the past few weeks and asked if they had any questions about how OneDrive for Business and SharePoint in Office 365 is helping them be compliant with GDPR. Here are some of the common questions they had.

14 The SharePoint Migration Tool v2 is now Generally Available
Last month we announced open beta for the next generation of the SharePoint Migration Tool with new capabilities to include support for SharePoint Lists, programmatic destination site creation and more.  Today we’re pleased to announce this version (v2) of the SharePoint Migration Tool is now generally available. List support On-Premises AuthN Support Site Structure Creation JSON Support (not just CSV)
