We Are Learning About…
Reading: We will focus on the letter Oo and the sight word you. We will ask and answer questions about Thanksgiving stories we read to help us understand them better. We will continue to focus on the reading strategy Chunky Monkey to help us stretchy snake words a little faster. Reading Essential Question: What was Thanksgiving like long ago versus today?
Writing: We will focus on printing upper and lowercase Oo, as well as using transition words (first, next, then, last) in our writing!
Math: We will begin GoMath Chapter 5: Addition!
Science: We will continue to discuss Unit 5: Matter!
Social Studies: We will focus on the Hawks Rise Character Trait Patience, which will be a school-wide focus! We will also focus on Thanksgiving: why we celebrate this holiday, what it was like long ago, and what it is like today!

Nov. 12th: Veterans Day observed; No School
Nov. 13th: Wonders Unit 3 Reading Test; GoMath Chapter 4 Test
Nov. 15th: Sight Word Toucan Assessment a day early due to field trip
Nov. 16th: Field Trip to FSU Theater to see “Pinkalicious”!
