Present Perfect Tense The action is completed eg. I have completed my home work. (just now) Present Perfect Continuous Tense The action began in the past, continued and is in progress even now eg. She has been reading the novel since last week. (since, for last few years) Past Tense Simple Past Tense The action began and ended in the past eg. She talked to me yesterday. (yesterday, last week, previously) Past Continuous The action going on in the past eg. During my visit, she was working on the project. (while, during)
