6 SYNOPSIS This course introduces you to report writing skills needed at tertiary level. You will learn basic report writing skills such as proposals, progress report, informational and analytical report. In order do this, you will learn how to collect data using questionnaires. The data collected will be analyzed, transferred into graphic forms and presented orally and in writing. Based on the analysis of data, you will be able to draw conclusions and make recommendations.

7 GOALS To develop English language writing competence for specific purposes. To develop lifelong learning skills for continuous personal and professional development. To train students in working collaboratively with people of various cultural and professional backgrounds

8 LEARNING OUTCOME At the end of this course, you would be able to:
(1) write an informational report for technical purposes using correct grammar and style (2) produce a proposal and a well-organized technical report (3) deliver orally technical reports using current technology with a fair degree of confidence (4) demonstrate responsibility when working in groups on an assigned task
