4/7/2019 9:05 AM Using Clouds to Predict Weather Cumulus clouds: very fluffy looking clouds and it looks like it can be a very sunny day! Cirrus clouds: very thin like-feather clouds that are looking like kind of like hair and made with ice crystals it looks like it is going to rain or snow. Weather Affects Non-Living Things
Erosion: means movement of rocks and soil from one place to anther. Erosion: it affects riverbanks by water erodes riverbanks. Avalanches: can cause lots of erosion in a few seconds. Water expands: when it freezes this can break pieces of rocks.

Weather Affects Living Things
Plant Adaptations: they die when winter comes the next spring, seeds sprout to produce new plant next year. Dormant means they do not ever grow trees that lose there leafs in fall are dormant during the winter. When spring comes, they produce new leafs and begin to grow again. Animal Adaptations: Migration: is when some birds migration to a warmer place to stay for winter. Hibernate: Is when some animals hibernate through out the winter. Other: some animals like these mountain goats grow extra fur to keep them warm in the winter then shed it in spring

Extreme Weather - Thunderstorms
If you are outdoors and there is a thunderstorm you should crouch down. Thunderstorms can damage both living and non-living things. Thunderstorms can have strong winds and heavy rain. Thunderstorms can cause flooding ,lightning can start to forest fires and cause crakes in the ground.
