Spark India: an award-winning & life-changing leadership journey
Fellows will receive: A once in a lifetime trip to India (Mumbai, Coimbatore, Pondicherry & Delhi) Intensive mentorship World class skills workshops Site visits to social enterprises, NGOs, incubators and accelerators and schools and college visits Lifelong membership of the Spark India fellowship I’ll say a little more about Spark India, our flagship international programme, and also because we’re in India It’s a leadership programme and a fellowship, over 3 weeks, working with venture partners in Mumbai who set teams of students from across the university a business or organizational challenge

One has led to the creation of a chapter of an Indian social enterprise in Southampton! BREATHE And visits, to social enterprises, incubators like Acumen and Ashoka, and innovation tours in places like Dharavi

What we’re looking for Spark India fellows must be:
Committed to self-improvement Interested in careers in social impact Open to constructive criticism Be willing to support other fellows in the cohort Be open-minded and non-judgmental Resilient, both physically and emotionally Empathetic and compassionate Disciplined Humble Self-starters with initiative DRINK WATER It encapsulates our challenge based model because it has 3 layers – mentoring, both individual and group, including skills workshops on attention management and client communication BREATHE The challenges itself, which have ranged from launching crowdfunding campaigns, technology trials, social impact research and social media campaigns. Our programmes have not only given students unique opportunities to apply their discipiinary skills, but have been catalytic and transformative for students careers BREATHE Charlotte, has gone to found a multi-million pound company, listed as one of Forbes 30 under 30 Andreas has founded a solar energy social enterprise, which is now one of our partners BREATHE Vivien and Jack have gone on to PhDs in climate change and systems change BREATHE Feba is working as a water engineer and Chanjot is working in legal justice. They have all gone to become leaders for social impact.

How to apply Complete the Spark India application form, available from the Social Impact Lab website>Opportunities>Spark India Submit your application by Thursday 28th February at 5pm, together with an up to date CV by ing it to with the subject line “Spark India 2019” LATE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED Those successful will be notified of an interview date within two weeks of application (15th March 2019). Interviews will be held in the last week before the Easter break (25th-30th March) Successful fellows will be appointed by 5th April 2019.
