Mid-1500’s scientists began to question traditional beliefs and develop new explanations based on experimentation.

Scientific Revolution: Based on observation, testing. This method challenged traditional views.

A Revolutionary Model of the Universe (Cosmos)
Heliocentric Theory: The sun is the center of the Universe. Developed by Copernicus Today we know this is not true either.

Telescope...discover ed moons of Jupiter/ dark spots on the Sun among other discoveries. Shattered aristotle’s theory that moon and stars made of pure perfect substance.
