Note that due to the high DNA sequence homology of the hKAP1.1A/B, hKAP1.6, and hKAP1.7 genes, the in situ probe used for (A) recognizes four transcripts. The red arrows demarcate the area of major KAP expression. No transcripts were detected in the medulla (data not shown) or in the ORS, IRS, and CU.
