FIRST HUNDRED DAYS – 3 RS RELIEF, RECOVERY, and REFORM RELIEF
BANK HOLIDAY – to stabilize the banking industry which was failing because of widespread panic, FDR declared a BANK HOLIDAY. All banks closed until federal inspectors would find the bank financially sound. HOMEOWNERS and FARM OWNERS received emergency loans UNEMPLOYMENT – addressed with government work programs

In Schechter Poultry v. U.S. (1937) the
Supreme Court ruled that even during a national crisis, Congress could not give the President more powers than those granted in the Constitution

Court-Packing After Schechter, FDR proposed a plan that would grant him power to appoint six justices to the Supreme Court, who might rule in his favor The plan was condemned by the public and rejected by Congress
