Q4 Mini. Touchstone – Today! First, turn in your interview questions you may have taken home yesterday. Study for your Q4 Mini. Touchstone for 3 minutes! Then, complete your Q4 Mini. Touchstone. YES, IT IS FOR A QUIZ GRADE. Once you finish, work on your ELA Final Exam study guide using your I.A.N.

3 Language Arts – Work Session 05/16/18
Essential Questions: Why do we have controversy in society? How do we communicate in order to convince others? Standard: ELASE6L6 – Acquire and use accurately grade-appropriate general academic and domain-specific words and phrases; gather vocabulary knowledge when considering a word or phrase important to comprehension or expression. Learning Targets: Identify claims. Elect your position on these claims. Support your claim with logical reasoning and relevant evidence.

E.L.A. Final Exam – Tomorrow! Work on your ELA Final Exam study guide using your I.A.N. YES, THE EXAM WILL BE FOR A TEST GRADE. Once you finish, write a full-page letter to a future sixth grader. Tell them things like: What to expect, Why they shouldn’t be nervous, Who are your favorite teachers, Your favorite activities, The best way to meet new friends, How to adjust in a new, bigger school with more teachers than what they’re used to in elementary school, Etc. REMEMBER to keep it positive. If you have something you don’t like, keep it to yourself, please. The goal is to encourage them so that they feel at ease here at Floyd. Do you have zeros? If so, you can write up to TWO ADDITIONAL letters to a future sixth grader for 50% each to take the place of up to two zeros you have (classwork grades only). All letters are due Thursday!

Letter to a Future Sixth Grader Write a full-page letter to a future sixth grader.
