Membership and Court Development
2
Facts: If we are about serving God, we NEED members to do God’s work!
We are losing members faster than we are replacing them. We are closing courts, and we are not opening new ones. If we continue to lose members and close courts at this rate, our organization will disappear in many states in fewer than ten years!
3
Facts: If a court is not recruiting new members, it is dying.
Once all members are tired and choose not to hold an office, that court ends up being disbanded. After several years of flat membership, it is very difficult to find women to join that court.
4
Facts: The future of each state lies in court development!
If you lose a court you must replace it! Lose one; Get one!
5
Court Development Process:
Name a chairman. Establish a budget. Secure materials. Develop a plan. Enlist the help of current members. Understand that court development is an on-going process. Train new courts well.
6
BOGO! Encourage your courts to be involved in recruitment.
Purchase recruitment materials if possible, or encourage courts to buy them. Run membership contests. Help establish a sense of urgency in the state. Give courts recruitment ideas.
