Similar Design studios
Here are some small design studios which are similar to our own design studio: Oovee game studio is a old studio but didn’t release their one game created ‘Spintires’ until May of It was founded in 2007. Animade studios includes 15 Workers, including 1 Dog. This studio whilst being mostly an animation studio has a whole 3 Games created which includes: ROBO BOOGIE, Ready Steady Bang and Ready Steady Play. Founded some time in early Fan Studios is mobile app and iPhone game development company which was created in It has a small amount of workers which they do not say the exact amount of employees on the website but has two games created: Flappy Wings Multiplayer and TrafficVille 3D. Dennaton studios was founded in 2012, so it’s the newest studio out all four and also the smallest only having two members but those two were responsible for the hit franchise Hotline Miami.

Skills needed to work in a game design studio
Artistic skills – ability to use a variety of different drawing and design techniques, being able to draw a storyboard and mood boards, concept artwork, drafts, animation. Excellent ICT skills Knowledge of software such as Photoshop, illustrator, Flash, Final Cut Pro etc Communication/teamwork skills Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines Creative Good literacy and numeracy skills Patience Problem solving

Job roles Games Developer- Kallum Grieve Games developers are involved in the creation and production of games for personal computers, games consoles, social/online games, arcade games, tablets, mobile phones and other hand held devices. Their work involves either design (including art and animation) or programming. Description of Games Developer Last accessed: 11:36 25/09/15 Lead artist- Liam Smith Being responsible for the overall look of a game, devising the game’s visual style, directing the production of all visual material throughout the game’s development and managing the art and animation team. Description of Lead Artist Last accessed: 11:40 25/09/2015 Artist- Joel Foster Creating the visual elements of a game, such as characters, scenery, objects, vehicles, surface textures, clothing, etc. They are also responsible for creating concept art and storyboards which help communicate the proposed visual elements during pre-production, all whilst being under the control of the Lead Artist. Animator- Sam Roscoe Being responsible for the portrayal of movement and behaviour within a game, making best use of the game engine’s technology, within the platform’s limitations.
