1 Grammar 2/15

2 Second paragraph: start with the phrase below
“Although banning phones in class seems like a good idea, it actually …” Then write 2-3 more sentences explaining this different view. Prompt: One of your friends, Alexi, is in some trouble at school. A harmless prank, turned into a giant mess, with trash in the hallway and water flowing out of the restrooms. Now you need to write a note of support so that Alexi isn’t suspended (or even expelled) from school. Use the format below for your letter.

3 Part One: Dear Mr. Principal,
You need a salutation, since this is a letter. Something like Dear Mr. Principal,

4 Part Two: First paragraph ----
Explain that you understand the situation and why the school leadership is upset. Alexi did a dumb thing, right? Admit that. (You can make up whatever details you like about the prank.) (2-4 sentences)

5 Part Three: Second paragraph----
Write 2-3 more sentences explaining why your friend is actually a good person and not a vandal. Provide some positive info about Alexi. See if you can use a sentence with the structure below. “Even though what Alexi did was ….,  my friend is actually …”

6 Part Four: Final paragraph
Just 1-2 sentences asking the principal to go easy on Alexi.
