PSAT December 3Scores available to educators
December 10–12 - Student score release begins. To be named a Semifinalist, you need to score in the top 1% of your state. Qualifying score for NC is 220. The PSAT is scored from 320 to 1520. In addition to that composite score, your score report will tell you your test scores for Math, Reading, and Writing and Language. These scores fall between 8 and 38. NMSC adds each section test score together and then multiplies the sum by 2 to create a National Merit Selection Index Score. The resulting Selection Index score determines your National Merit eligibility.

What is A Good SAT Score? In terms of what makes for good SAT scores, a is about average, so anything above that is an above-average score. A 1240 places you at the 80th percentile, in the top fifth of test-takers, which is pretty good. A 1340 puts you in the top 10 percent, which is a strong score. A 1410 is in the 95th percentile—the top 5 percent of test-takers. And any score puts you in the top one percent of test-takers!
17
What Is S Good ACT Score? To get a good ACT score for 2018, you’ll typically need to aim for at least the 75th percentile, or 24-25, on each section. If you’re aiming for a particularly high ACT score in the top 10 percent, you’ll have to get at least on each section (coming out to a composite score of 28). Interestingly, this total score is a whole 8 points below 36, a perfect ACT score. In other words, to get an excellent ACT score, you don’t even need to break 30!
