The student will solve equations with variables on both sides in order to identify an unknown variable and equations that are identities or have no solution.

2. Types of Solutions ONE SOLUTION: equation with 1 true answer
NO SOLUTIONS: equation with no true answer
INFINITE SOLUTIONS: equations where any real number is a true answer (“identities”)
