Exporting Export is LR’s ‘save as’ It generates a new file for use outside LR Can export more than one file at a time File -> Export Brings up the export dialogue with the last used pre-set selected (if there was one) File -> Export with previous Uses the last used settings for a manual export i.e. does not apply if the last used was a pre- set File -> Export with pre-set Uses a previously saved group of settings File -> Export as Catalogue Creates a new catalogue file using the selected images and includes your original files, any previews, any collections they were in, the original file path, any keywords and metadata that are associated with them. An export pre-set for submitting digital images the requirements are to create a jpeg file with Colour space = sRGB Maximum dimensions = width or horizontal (1920 pixels) x hight or vertical (1200 pixels) Maximum file size = 500kb The file must be named in the format ‘great_title_firstname_lastname.jpg’ Lightroom set up In the metadata panel give the image a title – all lower case using ‘_’ rather then spaces between words If you don’t want to use title use, for example, the “headline” attribute in the ITPC metadata fields – any unused editable field that is in the file naming editor works Create a file name template that is compliant with PWCC naming Create an export pre-set that meets the PWCC digital file requirements 4/04/2019 Pittwater Camera Club - The Lightroom Sessions (5)
