4. Snack
We eat lunch at 11:25. Students may bring a fruit or veggie snack (no dips) to munch on. Sharing of snacks is not permitted. We are a nut free classrooms!

5. Spelling Homework: Mon. –Write words in planner
Tues. – 10 sentences
Wed. – ABC order
Thurs. – practice test and practice your address too
Spelling consists of 15 words
A pre-test is given every Monday morning
100% = spelling/vocab list to study

6. “Reading to Learn” 2nd Grade Reading “Learning to read” 2nd Grade:
3rd Grade and beyond:
“Reading to Learn”

7. Homework Homework will be collected first thing in the morning
Plan on helping your child with homework and check their completed homework and make them correct mistakes
Your child is responsible for copying each day’s assignment in her/his planner

Parent conferences are in November
Grades may fluctuate throughout the year on any given skill

9. Attendance All absences require a note for the office.
Please send the note the day your child returns to school.
Work cannot be given out in advance of “vacation” days. This is school policy.

10. Class Climate
A classroom runs on respect, routines, boundaries and rules.
Class Dojo helps you see how your child is doing. I also post weekly photos!

11. Pringles Can and Paper Towel Tube send in one each for an ongoing math project
