Outline Use your research and information to complete the attached outline. Each body paragraph should contain: A transition word and topic sentence To begin, Lady Macbeth has PTSD in the last Act of Macbeth. Suggest possible causes for that illness using events from the play. (Textbook and citation) This is due to her behavior of consistently washing her hands, sleepwalking, and talking to herself about past traumatic events. (Shakespeare #-#) Describe which behaviors your character exhibits that suggest that particular mental illness (internet sources) In PTSD, a person feels intense fear and helplessness. That can have insomnia and flashbacks to events. (LastName) Show a link between these behaviors and the illness you used in your chart. (Elaboration/connection) Due to the murder of Duncan that Lady Macbeth helped to plan and the residing guilt, she has developed PTSD. Her continual washing of her hands demonstrates her loss of connection and recognition of things around her.
