7 Conservation Status: Species & Habitats
DRAFT DATA FROM 8 COUNTRIES: BE, CZ, IE, LV, LU, NL, NL, SE

8 Data provided: some issues (i)
Data delivered for near 100% of the species and habitats concerned Data relatively in line with the technical specifications but requiring improvement, correction or just an explanation 2nd deliveries are fundamental As anticipated, aggregation of some data will be difficult (population, structure and functions,…)

9 Data provided: some issues (ii)
Further harmonisation need in future Substantial use of ‘expert opinion’ in providing data/information System works (IT-tool, QA/QC procedures) but will need adaptation and improvement for the next report ETC has to deal with (many) unexpected issues and find solutions: e.g. lack of or insufficient quality GIS European data (country borders, cost line)

10 QA/QC reports available

11 This reporting: A substantial effort from MS in mobilising expertise and data A quantum leap: from process to outcome & results Milestone to identify gaps in knowledge = additional efforts in monitoring Data and information – even if not perfect – opens the way to (finally) start understanding what is going well / so-so / wrong and why
