1 Ms. Andrea’s Newsletter
January 2019 What We’re Learning: We will begin the month reviewing rules, routines, and procedures. We will continue our work with identifying letters and their sounds. Students will also work on one to one correspondence in math. The students will also learn about winter and what animals hibernate, adapt, and migrate in order to survive. Our Schedule: We will spend the first few days back from break reviewing the schedule. We will keep things very relaxed the first few days but then we are full steam ahead! Just a reminder, on days when it is a late arrival there is no AM preschool. On early dismissal days there is no PM preschool. Special Announcements: Welcome back! I hope everyone had a relaxing winter break. I missed everyone and I can’t wait to get back to our learning. We have a few fun things planned for the month of January. We will be learning about what animals do in winter to stay warm and safe. Keep a look out for information on hibernation day. If you send your child with hats and gloves, please try and label these items in some way. While we usually know what belongs to your child, substitute teachers do not. It makes it much easier to send home the correct clothing if it is labeled. Please continue to check your child’s red folder daily. This is the best place to find out about their day. Feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns. Don’t forget to read with your child! Thank you for your support!
