Hi! My name is Mrs. Christi Sumners! I am 42 years young! I will be your child’s 3rd grade teacher for the school year! This will be my 12th year teaching at Stonewall Elementary and I am excited to make this my best year yet!

My family!
I am blessed to have a close family. My husband and I have been married for 17 years. We have Gus who is in 4th grade here at Stonewall and Mary Jane who is in first grade. My parents recently moved here and my in laws have a second home here. We are fortunate to have both sets of grandparents close and I’m sure you will see them around. My mom grew up in Stonewall and she is happy to be back. We are members of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church in Fredericksburg.

I grew up in San Antonio, Texas where I attended Oak Grove Elementary, Garner Middle School, and MacArthur High School (where my nephew is a senior and will play varsity football this year-Go Brahmas!). I then attended Texas A&M University and graduated in Interdisciplinary Studies with a Reading and Math Specialization. I taught second grade for 9 years in San Antonio for the North East Independent School District at Oak Grove Elementary and Harmony Hills Elementary.
