For the last 6 years, Norfolk Chamber has been running an annual technology conference called Talking Technology.
The aim of the event is to develop local businesses’ use of digital skills and technologies to ultimately boost their growth.
Returning in 2017 on the Wednesday 20th September and takes place at The Space in Norwich
The interactive, half day event usually features;
A conference style opening with lots of expert speakers, discussing upcoming and relevant topics,
Followed by an exhibition and workshops
Then we finish with a networking lunch

2. This year we had 11 speakers, 4 workshops, 18 exhibitors and 144 people in attendance
Speakers included; Barclays, BT, Norfolk Constabulary, AirBnB, Epos Now, along with some local start-ups & entrepreneurs
Through our event speakers, we looked at the following topics:
Big Data – which looked at data infrastructure, the value of cloud and open source, and processing performance Cyber Security – which covered advice on cyber hygiene and potential risks to business
And Growth in the Age of the Consumer – Which covered how the use of technology and data can help you to understand your customer
So we covered a few big subjects that are relevant to not only tech companies but all companies – large and small.
We then moved onto the Workshops which were more focused, these covered: Search Engine optimisation, E-Commerce, Web analytics and business apps.
The exhibition part of the event was bigger and more interactive than ever, we had VR headsets, smart home technology, digital advertising, 3D printers and more.

3. Wednesday 20th September
Looking ahead we are now in the planning stages of Talking Tech 2017
Building on the success of this year’s event we hope to attract some big names again for our conference and we are looking for local companies to host our workshops
