2 Words to Know: greater than = more than less than = fewer than equal to = the same amount

3 The Greater Gator likes to gobble up the greatest amount of anything that he can find. Your job will be to predict what the Greater Gator will try to gobble. Introduction:

4 Directions: -Now let’s take a look at the hand signals!
1.) You will be shown some math problems. Each one will be two different amounts. Your job is to compare the numbers and decide which of the two amounts is greater. 2.) Don’t shout out your answers. Wait for me to say “1-2-3 chomp” before signaling your answer with your hands. You will need to time your signal so that you show your answer while I says the word “chomp.” 00000oooooooooo -Now let’s take a look at the hand signals!

5 The Signals: 1.) 3.) 2.) 1.) “Chomp” (clap) your hands to the left if the amount on the left is greater. 2.) Make an “equals sign” if the amounts are equal. 3.) “Chomp” (clap) your hands to the right if the amount on the right greater.

6 Let’s practice a problem together using the greater than, less than, and equal to symbols!
