6 years teaching in the Valley (4th year at ASU Prep
Bachelor’s in Print Journalism, 2011 (ASU)
Master’s in Secondary Education, 2014 (ASU)
Originally from Annapolis, MD. (Central Phoenix is home now, though)
Prior to teaching, I was a published writer, with work in USA Today, Fox News and 100 other syndicated newspapers
Primarily a ghost writer for radio hosts (most notably, Kim Komando)

2. My teaching philosophy
I teach as a way to open doors for students that were open for me.
I teach as a way to help students find their definition of success and to achieve that success.
I teach as a way to give everything I can to a community I love.
