So what is PLAGIARISM??

3. Definition Plagiarism is the act of taking someone else’s
thoughts or ideas and presenting them as your own
This includes exact wording, paraphrasing,
or reassembling

4. 5 specific acts of plagiarism:
Not documenting properly
Purchasing and submitting pre-written papers
Letting someone else write a paper for you
Paying someone else to write a paper for you
Submitting someone else’s unpublished work as your own

Plagiarism occurs when steps are not taken to show that the information is borrowed
The #1 reason normal people plagiarize is because of not managing time properly
If you paraphrase a document or website, you are REQUIRED to document the source
